Celebrating the Life of Our Savior!
By Susan Bidell, “The MomBlogger”, Glendale, AZ
We recently attended a one day con-ference of business owners held in the Phoenix area. What we took away from the various speakers and leaders was amazing! Each shared what they did to glorify God, talked about the trials and tribulations they had on their journey and, ultimately, their joy and delight in helping others. Many wanted to quit when they were turned away or told no. (The devil loves quitters)!
The speakers, one by one, confirmed and reaffirmed our duty as Christians: We are here to build God’s kingdom. We love and honor our own hearts and minds so that we can pour into others with heart centered sharing. What an awesome message and reminder! “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
God sent His son to model and exemplify a life of service and ministry. Jesus was obedient to God, a selfless servant to all and He made the ultimate sacrifice to save us. But His was a difficult journey, and Jesus was tested, tempted and challenged. “When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.” Luke 4:13-14
As we prepare for the Easter season we are mindful of our Savior and all that He did….out of love, always in service to others. He gave his life so that we will have eternal life. ETERNAL, as in FOREVER. What would Jesus do (aka WWJD) is a popular acronym. Do you think of it, use it, rely on it? I personally ask myself “WWJD” when having trouble, and am pretty sure what the answer is. The right path is there, we just need to walk in faith to find it. And, most importantly, to stay there. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
So let’s rejoice this Easter, thanking God for His many Blessings. Serve many, Love more and Build God’s Kingdom. All for His Glory!
He is Risen!
